General Cleanliness Guidelines

Ensuring a Hygienic and Pleasant Environment

Maintaining cleanliness in the Society is essential to ensure a hygienic, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents. The following guidelines must be adhered to:

1. Avoid Littering:

  • Residents must avoid littering in common areas such as corridors, staircases, lifts, and parking spaces.
  • Dispose of waste only in the designated dustbins or outlets provided by the Society.

2. Waste Disposal:

  • Garbage should be properly segregated into dry and wet waste before disposal.
  • Use the dustbin outlets provided on each floor and ensure waste is not left outside the outlet.
  • Maintain cleanliness around the dustbin areas to avoid unpleasant odors or pest infestations.

3. Corridor Cleanliness:

  • Personal belongings, such as furniture or bicycles, should not be stored in corridors to maintain a neat appearance and ensure clear passage in case of emergencies.
  • Only properly maintained plants are allowed in the corridors, and any water spills from them must be cleaned immediately.

4. Pet Waste Management:

  • Pet owners must ensure their pets do not litter in Society premises.
  • If a pet urinates or defecates in common areas, it is the responsibility of the owner to clean it immediately.

5. Spitting and Defacing:

  • Spitting in lifts, staircases, or any common areas is strictly prohibited.
  • Writing on or defacing walls and surfaces within the Society premises is not allowed.

6. Construction Waste:

  • Any debris or waste generated from renovation or repair work must be disposed of in accordance with the Society's renovation guidelines.
  • It should not be left in common areas.

7. Vehicle Cleaning:

  • Avoid washing vehicles in common areas in a way that causes waterlogging or splashes dirt around the premises.
  • Use designated washing areas, if available.

8. Mosquito Prevention:

  • Avoid water stagnation in open areas, plant trays, or containers, as it can lead to mosquito breeding.
  • Regularly clean and dry water-holding containers or pots.

9. Participation in Cleanliness Drives:
Residents are encouraged to participate in cleanliness drives or initiatives organized by the Society to promote awareness and maintain hygiene.

10. Reporting Cleanliness Issues:
Any cleanliness concerns or issues should be reported to the Society office or through the complaint registers for prompt action.

By adhering to these cleanliness guidelines, we can collectively maintain a hygienic and welcoming environment for everyone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
