Press Wala Policy

Ensuring Smooth and Organized Services

To ensure smooth functioning and maintain order within the Society premises, the following guidelines are issued for residents and press walas (laundry service providers):

1. Registration of Press Walas:

  • All press walas providing services within the Society must be registered with the Society office.
  • Residents must submit the name, photo, and contact details of their press wala to the Society office for records.
  • Police verification of press walas is mandatory and must be submitted to the Society office.

2. Pickup and Delivery Only:

  • Press walas are not allowed to perform ironing or pressing work inside the Society premises.
  • They are permitted only to pick up and deliver clothes from residents.

3. Entry and Exit Timing:

  • Press walas are allowed to enter the Society only between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
  • Entry before 8:00 AM or after 7:00 PM is strictly prohibited.

4. Identification and Access:

  • Press walas must carry a Society-issued ID card at all times while entering or exiting the premises.
  • They must display the ID card upon request by security personnel or residents.

5. Behavior and Decorum:

  • Press walas must maintain proper behavior and decorum while within the Society premises.
  • Any incidents of misconduct or disputes must be reported to the Society office for immediate action.

6. Hygiene and Cleanliness:

  • Press walas must ensure that no waste or litter is left behind in the Society premises during pickup or delivery.

7. Cooperation with Security:

  • Press walas must cooperate with security guards during entry, exit, and any routine checks.
  • Security guards have the right to deny entry to unregistered or unverified press walas.

8. Responsibility for Loss or Damage:

  • Press walas are responsible for any loss or damage to residents’ clothing items in their possession.
  • Residents are advised to resolve such issues directly with their press wala.

9. Termination and Updates:

  • If a resident discontinues the services of a press wala, they must inform the Society office to update the records.
  • Any new press wala hired must go through the registration and verification process before starting work.

By following these guidelines, we aim to maintain a secure and organized environment for all residents while facilitating efficient laundry services.
