Pet Policy
Fostering a Harmonious and Pet-Friendly Environment
To ensure harmony between pet owners and non-pet owners, and to maintain a clean and peaceful environment within the Society premises, the following pet policy has been established:
1. Registration of Pets:
- All pets must be registered with the Society office.
- Pet owners are required to provide details, including the pet’s name, breed, and vaccination records, to the Society office.
- Regular updates about vaccination and health check-ups of pets must be submitted to the Society office.
2. Hygiene and Cleanliness:
- Pet owners must ensure that their pets do not litter in the common areas, including parks, corridors, and lifts.
- In case of any littering, it is the responsibility of the pet owner to clean the area immediately.
- Pets must be bathed and groomed regularly to maintain hygiene and prevent any nuisance.
3. Designated Areas for Pets:
- Pets are not allowed in certain areas like children’s play areas, parks, and green zones.
- Residents must use designated areas for walking their pets and ensure no damage is caused to Society property or plants.
4. Noise Control:
- Pet owners must ensure that their pets do not create disturbances by barking or making loud noises, especially during quiet hours (10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
- Continuous complaints regarding noise disturbances may lead to action as decided by the Society management.
5. Safety and Supervision:
- Pets must always be kept on a leash while in common areas to ensure the safety of other residents.
- Aggressive pets must wear a muzzle when in public spaces to prevent any incidents.
- It is strictly prohibited to leave pets unattended in common areas.
6. Interaction with Other Residents:
- Pet owners must respect the comfort of non-pet owners and ensure their pets do not approach others without consent.
- Any incidents of pets causing harm or discomfort to other residents must be addressed immediately by the pet owner.
7. Vaccination and Health:
- All pets must be vaccinated as per local regulations, and vaccination records must be updated with the Society office annually.
- Any sick or unwell pets must be kept under proper care and supervision to avoid the spread of diseases.
8. Pet Waste Disposal:
- Pet owners are responsible for properly disposing of pet waste in designated dustbins.
- Pet waste should never be disposed of in common areas or flower beds.
9. Guest Pets:
- Pets belonging to visitors must also comply with the Society’s pet policy.
- Residents hosting guest pets must ensure their behavior and cleanliness align with the rules.
10. Violations and Fines:
- Violations of the pet policy, such as littering, non-cleanup, or disturbances, may result in fines as per Society guidelines.
- Repeated violations may lead to further action, including restrictions on pet activities within the premises.
By following these guidelines, we can maintain a clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment that benefits all residents. Your cooperation is essential in fostering harmony within the Society.
